CMSgt Thomas Moore 6250th Civil Engineers Tan Son Nhut Air Base. CMSgt Moore, CMSgt Adams, CMSgt Dusing and CMSgt Page flew to Vung Tau for a one day R&R. When it was time for them to return to Tan Son Nhut, the aircraft could not pick them up. The four men decided to hire a local taxi to take them to TSN. On the return trip they were captured by Viet Cong. Within hours, Sgt Page escaped. (Sgt Page is the only USAF enlisted man to escape capture.) No further information was ever obtained on Moore, Adams and Dusing. They are listed as POW/MIA in the official records. | |
