Graphic courtesy of: Carl Graves Carl's father is Robert Ussey, who was stationed at Tan Son Nhut and worked in electronics. Robert Ussey 460th AEMS (PMEL) 1968 - 1969 Robert once more was assigned to Vietnam, 1971-1972 Carl and his wife went back to Vietnam recently and took this photograph. It shows the TAB VEE's (Shelters) and a guard shack.
Graphic courtesy of: Carl Graves I believe that this is a military museum on Tan Son Nhut. It is not open for public viewing. Possible what we are looking at is two C-130's and bottom right you can see a guard tower. TSNA Member, Gil Simpson, currently lives in Saigon. This is what he said about the tall building. On Cong Hoa Blvd, on the south side of the road as you're headed out of town there is a building with a decent set-back from Cong Hoa. I cannot remember the exact name, but it's something like "Sepact," or "Sepatk" or some stupid name. But, what may be the most interesting characteristic of the building is that it sits on the exact site of the former TSN BX that was demolished around 2003.
Graphic courtesy of: Carl Graves It's actually the British Council (not Consul) compound on Le Duan Boulevard, in the next block past Mac Dinh Chi Street and on the opposite side from the US Consulate, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon,) Vietnam
