A man of honor, integrity and compassion Robert "Bob" James Tracy passed away surrounded by family members on September 23, 2015, and now with the lord. He was born on June 17, 1933, in Millburn, Illinois to Amanda Marie Jepson and Ben Christensen.

His father, mother, sister, niece, nephew and wife preceded him in death.

Bob joined the United States Air Force, where he served 32 years, during his tour in Japan he met and married Sachiko Shimura. Sachiko and Bob had been married for 44 years when she preceded him in death in 2001. He then met and married Linda Dickson for 11 years.

He was raised and went to school in the McHenry, Illinois area and after graduating he joined the Air Force in 1952. The military stationed him in California, Idaho, Illinois, Texas and Ohio and finally again in Texas at Bergstrom AFB in November of 1979. Enrolled at St Edwards University he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business. He worked at 3M for years and then retired. Along the way Bob and Sachiko had four children, 3 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters. After Sachiko death Bob met and married his wife Linda and added to the family with a stepdaughter and stepson and 2 grandchildren. Bob was a model citizen, he had a strong work ethic; he was loyal, kind, compassionate, honest and had unconditional love for his wife, children and grandchildren - all of whom loved and admired him. He had a heart of gold and in addition he loved animals, especially those that found him and needed a home. He will be sorely missed by all.

Bob leaves mourning wife, Linda Tracy of Austin, son David Tracy and wife Dolores of Austin, son Donald Tracy and wife Cathy of Carmichael, California, daughter Deborah Tracy of Austin, daughter Darleen Branch and husband Will of Austin, Step-daughter Bonnie Winsler and husband Alan of Normal, Illinois and stepson Brian Dickson and wife Natasha of San Antonio, granddaughter Michelle Tracy, granddaughter Kristi Branch, granddaughter Lindsay Wong and husband Nelson of Roseville, California, grandson Gray Winsler, great granddaughters Addy and Stella Wong great granddaughter Gia Dickson and great granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family request to contribute a donation in his name to his favorite places -- Texas Chapter Paralyzed Veterans of America, Animal Trustees of Austin, Emancipet and/or Austin Pets Alive. His father, mother, sister, niece, nephew and wife preceded him in death.
